If you log into EdReady and find that all of your work has disappeared, rest assured. We do not delete student data.
1. The most common reason for this apparent loss of data is that you have logged into the wrong EdReady site.
The EdReady system consists of a large number of private, custom sites for various schools, districts, and colleges across the United States and Canada.
In addition, there is a public version of EdReady that is free for anyone to use for independent study and personal academic advancement.
It is possible to have more than one EdReady site (or "version") associated with your email address. This may be intentional (such as, if you have attended more than one school that uses EdReady) or it may be unintentional. For example, if you use a search engine such as Google to find EdReady, there is a good chance you will find the public site instead of your school's custom EdReady.
If you are using EdReady at the behest of your school or instructor, then in most cases you should be using your school's own EdReady site. Check the instructions that were provided to you. The URL of a custom EdReady site will look something like this:
https://schoolName.edready.org
You can identify the EdReady site you are on by looking in the address bar of your browser. If you're on the public EdReady site, you will not see a "school name" in the site's web address. It will be just plain "edready.org"
If your work is missing, it is very likely that you have simply logged in to the wrong EdReady site.
Log out of the public site and go to your school's EdReady URL and log in there. You will most likely end up finding all of your work when you log into the correct EdReady site for your school.
2. It may appear that your work is lost if your goal assignment has been changed or removed.
A goal is like a "class" that contains the set of work you are supposed to be doing. You may have removed yourself unintentionally from the goal, or your school may have made changes that affected your access to the goal you worked on previously.
Still, your work is not lost. It is just a matter of associating your account with the same goal again -- or perhaps a different one that has the same scope of work in it.
This scenario requires that you reach out to your instructor or to EdReady support staff. If your school has made changes, we may need to work with them to determine the best path forward.
