If you are using a version of EdReady that has been customized by your school, then you will need a "key" to access your tests or assignments.
I don't know my key
The Goal Key is created and assigned by your school, and it is usually associated with a specific class or test you are taking. Unfortunately, this means we here at EdReady do not know it; your school has to provide you with the correct key for your particular situation.
Here are some suggestions to locate the key:
- Check the instructions for EdReady that were provided by your school; they should include the key.
- Contact your teacher, advisor, testing center, etc. -- whoever told you to use EdReady. They should be able to tell you what the key is for your particular situation.
Please note that the Goal Key is not the same as your account activation code and is never sent to you by email from EdReady. It is ONLY given out by the school.
There is no field to enter the key
There are two common scenarios here:
- You are on the public EdReady site which is for independent study and not associated with a school. All of the goals are public, so you can join any that you wish without a key. But if your school gave you a key, then you are in the wrong place.
See this article for more details about how to find your school's EdReady site. - You are using EdReady for placement testing. In this case, it is very likely that you won't get a key or see any content to work on until someone on at your school places you in a Goal from the admin side of EdReady. They do this to prevent you from working on EdReady outside of the testing center.
You should contact the testing center to ask them how to proceed. They are best positioned to advise you.
