If you see a message that says, "The key was not found", it means you have entered a key that is not recognized by the system.
Possible reasons for this error include:
- You mistyped the key
- You entered your account activation key
- You are on the wrong EdReady site
- Your teacher gave you the wrong key or misspelled the key
- The key has been changed by someone at your school
We at EdReady DO NOT have access to your goal key. Only your school can provide you with this information. Please read the instructions provided by your school and be sure you have logged in to the correct EdReady site for your school.
If you do not find the key, contact your instructor, testing center, or advisor -- whoever told you to use EdReady.
Special Cases:
UHCC
The UHCC system has a different goal key for each school. They are posted on the home page of the UHCC EdReady site at https://uhcc.edready.org. You have to be logged out to see them. So if you are in the site and you do not know the key, you will need to log out, copy the key, then log back in and enter it.
Ivy Tech
Ivy Tech students get a goal key assigned automatically based on their major. This occurs when your first register your account by clicking on the Knowledge Assessment button, which is located in the Student Dashboard of MyIvy (https://myivy.ivytech.edu/). If you have any issues getting into your Knowledge Assessment account, contact your campus Knowledge Assessment representative or create a helpdesk ticket in MyIvy Student Dashboard.
Placement Testing
If your school is using EdReady for placement testing, it is possible that you will not get a key or see any content to work on until someone on staff places you in a Goal from the admin side of EdReady. They do this to prevent you from working on EdReady outside of a proctored environment. If you have any questions about the goal key, you should contact your school's testing center to ask them how to proceed. We here at EdReady do not know the specific protocols for each school.
