EdReady release notes - 4 Mar 2019

The following bug fixes, new features, and improvements are now part of the EdReady platform, as of 04 March 2019:

• These release notes consolidate improvements and bug fixes since November 2018, comprising several planned and unplanned updates. Note too that the EdReady application now includes a suite of micro-services in addition to the core codebase. Where appropriate, our release notes will now reference the updates to those micro-services.

  • Bug fixes:
    • Tag filters not labeled on student data report
    • Active account displays error message on login
    • 500 server error is shown while editing the account additional options in the version site
    • Creation of local code to replace the existing "Common Library" dependencies on EdReady
    • Improvements to the SSO error message for role "Teacher"
    • User accounts merged across versions on SSO login
    • The browser console showing some errors while accessing the Admin Users tab
    • Email message encoding problem
    • Color contrast errors throughout the application (student side)
    • Parsing errors throughout the application (student side)
    • The "Colorblind mode" checkbox is not shown even if the "Show Details" checkbox is on

    • The application is showing the Session expired message after answering a specific question on the Unit Test

    • The Overview and the Student Data reports are not showing the right data
    • Some application URLs are displayed in bold
    • The Sign-up page still showing the colorblind mode after having created a student with 'Desired color contrast'
    • The table of contents option is not adapted to the desired color contrast selected
    • Unable to receive the Topic Detail Report by email due to a server error on the browser console
    • 404 server error while clicking on the Study Path Overview popup modal window
    • Reports on Topic Detail page: Only unit one is being sent
    • The Save SAML specific configuration button is not working on Firefox
    • Unable to confirm the pop-up window for session time out while the notification floating action button is open
    • In the Notifications page, the Home breadcrumb is not properly redirecting
    • Validation label is missing on the Content field while creating a Study Path Progress message
    • The questions player is not loading for students accessing through Token SSO
    • Implementation of color contrast changes in the grading rubric of My Score page in the student side.
    • UI changes for the mastery statuses in the admin side.
    • Fixes for the problem about the "Unknown property" that was shown as part of the logout action in the student's session activity.
    • Fixes for the ‘English foundation lessons’ that was not loading properly on iPad.
    • Mirror UI changes and bug fixing.

    • More info and options around aligned LOs for questions and resources
    • More info regarding item accessibility for aligned resources and questions
    • Accessibility toggles improved
    • Add columns to All Admins Report (available on System Admins tab)
    • Enable categories for filtering and sorting performance reports
    • Add some more text to the error message for deactivated accounts
    • Question Player Focus Indicator
    • Setup a new environment variable for the Math Jax Version

    • On My Scope page, the "Shapes" should be displayed by default when the user is on colorblind mode
    • Improvements in the notification management page.
    • Creation of the notifications subscriptions management table.
    • Creation of a new tab for the SSO configuration.

    • Improvements in the Question Player for accessibility of matching questions.

    • Bug fixes:
      • View Categories button not displaying any data
      • Registration URLs not working
      • Date fields not filtering on all tables
      • Error capture for students enrolling with incorrect or expired info
      • Contract expiration dates don't match
      • Basic report missing the 'Report generated on' date
      • Contracts Start Date field is editable for view only permission
      • Update tag-input status to disabled on view only permissions
      • Admin "Institutions" tab showing incorrect data on view only permissions
      • Use permission label instead of DB names in roles table
      • Minor improvement for manual password changes
      • Admins are not able to confirm students who register using their phone number

      • Add option to auto-generate a 'Student invitation'
      • Changes on the redirect for some object creation pages
      • Replace table action buttons for icons
      • Allow students to change their own email addresses or phone numbers
      • Allow admins to change student emails or phone numbers

      • Allow students to provide both email and phone number, and choose preferred contact method
    • ART:
      • ART (Advanced Reporting Tool) is a new service which has not yet been released publicly. We will share more about ART when it becomes publicly available.
    • Event Tracker:
      • The Event Tracker (aka ‘Alerts System’) is a new service which has not yet been released publicly. We will share more about the Event Tracker when it becomes publicly available.
